Isolena Optimal multiflexible thermal and sound insulation made of sheep wool is the best solution for standard applications up to 140 mm insulation thickness. The slight oversize in width flexibly adapts to the construction.

What properties does Isolena Optimal have?
Isolena Optimal has a thermal conductivity of 0.038 W/m*k. The insulation material is renewable, recyclable and free from synthetic additives. Sheep wool naturally acts moisture-regulating and air-purifying. It also impresses with its high resistance to mold and its high flash point. The latter is almost twice as high as wood at 560–600 °C. Therefore, sheep wool insulation does not require additional fire retardants and does not produce toxic gases in case of fire (Fire behaviour according to EN 13501-1: D-s2, d0; according to DIN 4102-1: B2). Due to its high ecological and sustainable quality standards, Isolena sheep wool insulation materials are certified by the international association for future-oriented building and living - nature plus®.

Where does the wool for Isolena Optimal come from?
The wool comes from Alpine sheep from Austria, Germany, and Switzerland and carries the certification mark for sustainable building materials from the International Association for Future-Oriented Building and Living - natureplus e.V.
How does the wool protection work?
- IONIC PROTECT® is a biocide-free wool protection, long-term tested according to EAD and trademark patented process.
- Plasma treatment changes the protein molecules of the wool, making them no longer a food source for wool pests.
- Due to the wool protection, Isolena Optimal is indefinitely storable.

How is the installation done?
• Fast installation without waste and dust.
• Ideal for overhead work.
• Introduce the insulation rolls from bottom to top and fix the surface felt to the wooden structure on the side by tacking.
• Cutting by tearing or with the ISOLENA cutting device is possible.
